Turn your house into a fairytale palace

A fairytale palace is a girl’s dream come true. Ever since they are little, girls dream of the perfect house with perfect decorations and perfect details that would make their living amazing and fantastic. Even as growing up we don’t want the brutal and harsh reality we desire fantasy which is why the old idea of a palace still lingers with us. Thus, we are prone to appreciate things that are related to the classic fairytale palace and secretly still hope to live in one at least for some time. There is nothing wrong in wishing for certain things to come true especially since we are talking about a childhood dream, the perfect house and the perfect place to call home.

So, as an adult we have certain means to solve the problem. We can turn wishes into reality if we truly want it. Once you have decided that you want a palace instead of a standard home you need to focus on the idea and follow certain steps. For instance you can go and spend the weekend or a Summer vacation in a fairytale palace just by renting it. With the help of sites that offer for rent private spaces, apartments, houses and even palaces you can spend a dream-like vacation in a foreign land in a fairytale palace. It can’t be easier that this, just pick one of the available villas, mansions or palaces book it for the holidays ans spend your quality time in a true unique and authentic castle. Think of the people who will hear about your story and who will see the photos, you will become a true source of inspiration. With sites like booking.com you can nail your fantasy vacation in a palace like those from children’s tales.

Turn your home into a fairytale palace

If you want to live in a permanent state of excitement and cannot wait until vacation starts you can begin decorating your house to resemble a fairytale palace. For instance if you have a villa with at least one storey you have plenty of space to add a beautiful white wooden balcony from which you can gaze at the starts at night and enjoy the city skyline.

Plant ivy. Ivy offer your home a beauty look and feel. It looks good no matter the season and in time it covers the whole facade. Either we are talking about one storey or two storey houses an ivy bush is welcome since it gives that fairytale look to the place. Don’t forget to plant as many flowers as you can since palaces have imposing gardens plus flowers give a happy feel to the whole scenery.

Interior design has utmost importance since it dictates whether your home will look like a palace or not. Choose vintage furniture one that has a story behind it and don’t forget to match it with the overall design of the home. Since palaces have imposing massive furniture you can aim for the classic well sculpted hard wood with deep brow or black colours.

Pay attention to the details fairytale places have many details inside that makes you wonder off, so don’t forget to add the icing on the cake, the décor to maintain the mood. Paintings, vases and maybe vintage photos or daggers will improve the interior design of your very own palace. Lighten the mood with appropriate music, books and means of spending your spare time. Your old dream of living in a fairytale palace is not that hard to obtain. If you really wish for it then you can take certain steps and achieve your goal in a matter of months and make your own fairytale palace.

We were in Brussels in October '09 too. Great photo! We didn't venture to this area thugoh. Before seeing the picture and just seeing your post's title, I had expected the Mannekin Pis statue (my kids' favorite statue in Brussels). =)
