STRIPED WALLS FOR A SENSATIONAL INTERIOR

You want a bold and cheerful interior? Then streaks are the solution. Very popular in the fashion industry, stripes have become a trend in interior design. Thick or thin, vertical or horizontal stripes are an extremely interesting way to create a beautiful perspective of the interior.

SUBTLE NOTES

Stripes can hide the decoration defects in your house or can also change the perception of space. Horizontal wider stripes, especially when are used two shades of the same color, can make a room seem larger.

SUBTLE NOTES

BIG CONTRAST

If the contrast between colors is bigger, the interior seems more complex and more carefully elaborated. No matter how you use them, stripes are a great way to get an orderly arrangement and optically interesting.

BIG CONTRAST

OPTICAL ILLUSION

Used on vertical, thin stripes can make the walls seem taller. The lines can be simply painted or you can use wallpaper with colored stripes. The trick is to adapt very well the colors with the furniture.

DARING COMBINATION

But you should not limit yourself to tone on tone combinations. It is true that they are more stylish, but if you’re committed to an extravagant style, then the mix of bold colors, especially when it comes to bright hues, will enchant you. In a white bathroom, for example, a wall papered like this or simply a curtain with multicolored lines will create a focal point in the room.

DARING COMBINATION

LINES ON ANYTHING

But stripes are not only for walls, they can adapt to any object or any surface. The sofa, decorative pillows, carpets, bed sheets or lampshades, even dishes, all can “bear” the decorative stripes. It can be less expensive than to change the wallpaper in a room, to use a striped blanket on the couch.

THE LESS THE BETTER

No matter how beautiful they look, the stripes don’t have to surround and cover everything. A wall or a corner of the room is sufficient for a very elegant aspect of a space. In addition, you can match the stripes with floral patterns. The effect is surprisingly elegant.
