The super glass palace where Roger Federer and his family are going to live

Neither the palaces of kings are no longer what they were. It is true that we are talking about the king of tennis, Roger Federer, who has built a house on banks of Lake Zurich, where he is going to move his large family. The great edifice cost 8.3 million euros.

The three-storey building, which was built in a few months is almost ready. It was built in Wollerau, a village situated at 20 minutes from Zurich, known in Switzerland as a little tax paradise because of the extremely low taxes.

The building, called “The Residence” is a mixture of glass, wood and concrete, in a style that integrates perfectly in the surrounding nature. The glass walls provide full transparency, and a perfect view, especially as the building was built on a hill, on the banks of Lake Zurich.

An example is this projection on the computer, done by architects, which represents the matrimonial bedroom of the couple Roger-Mirka. A huge room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, its location on a corner of the building giving an excellent view.

The three floors of the building, totaling not less than 500 square meters built, each have huge terraces, a perfect playground for Federer’s four children, but also for sunbath or recreation.

At the top level, designers have provided a relaxation area with a glass dome. According to dailymail.co.uk, the building was thought of as having two apartments, in one of them planning to move Federer’s parents.

In addition to three storeys, the huge building also has an underground floor, which houses a huge parking for the luxury cars of the King of tennis. Obviously, the gym for the sportsman’s workouts or the private pool are not missing.

Multiple Grand Slam champion, Swiss Roger Federer met Mirka in 2000, back when both participated at the Olympic Games in Sydney. They got married in 2009 and have two pairs of twins, two 5 years old girls and two boys only a few months old.
