The garden is the special place where you love to relax in the fresh air. Beyond the plants you have chosen to create your own piece of heaven are important also the accessories that surround you, especially decorations. Here’s how to make the garden the most beautiful place on earth:
“Stuffed” shells
You gathered shells in your last holiday at the sea? It’s time to give them a utility. Fill them with soil and succulent plants in them. These plants are very resistant, they do not need much soil and stay well anywhere, even in strong sunlight. Put them on a windowsill or on the edge of the wooden pavilion of the garden.
Baskets with plants
You can create a vertical garden using wicker baskets as jardinieres. Catch them below each other at a distance, using colored cables and back them on a blank wall of the house.
Tires with flowing plants
Plants with long, hanging stalks, need special supports. Fix used tires on a wall or a fence, then fill them with soil to create pots. Plant there what flowers you want, because you will surely get a unique picture.
“Dressed” flower pots
Use leftover lace to dress simple ceramic pots. The juxtaposition of delicate lace and cactus, for example, is sensational, because of the contrast created. You need a special adhesive to “catch” the ceramic surface and a little imagination.
Lamps made of cans
Never throw the cans. You can obtain a lot of interesting decorations, like some lamps for garden. Perforate the can to get holes. Then introduce a thick candle in the can and hang it in a safe place where it does not topple.
Lively barrels
Large metal cans or old barrels can become real pieces of decor. Paint them in cheerful shades, then decorate them how you like. From two cans you can create a funny couple, as shown above. Use them as support for potted flowers.
