Vegetables in coconut milk is a recipe of Thai origin which is prepared quickly and is very tasty. The flavors of this preparation will quickly make you think of an exotic vacation. See how easy it is to prepare, despite its pompous name.
INGREDIENTS
– 8.5 fl oz coconut milk
– 2.8 oz peas
– 1.7 oz fresh mushrooms
– 1.7 oz white cabbage
– 1.7 oz green bean pods
– 1 small white onion
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 1 red chilli
DIRECTIONS
Put milk to a boil in a roomy pot. When it starts to boil, lower the heat and add the sugar and soy sauce. Mix well until the sugar melts. Then incorporate the finely chopped onion and the cleaned chilli cut julienne. Let everything simmer for two to three minutes.
Add the chopped mushrooms and cabbage strips, and after another minute add beans and peas. Simmer until all vegetables are well-cooked.
If necessary you can season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve the vegetables in coconut milk with a simple side dish of rice.
