TERIYAKI CHICKEN WITH LEMON AND RICE, AN ASIAN RECIPE YOU NEED TO TRY

Teriyaki chicken with lemon and rice is an Asian recipe that is very simple to prepare. You don’t need special or difficult to find ingredients, and you will definitely impress everyone with this delicious recipe.

TERIYAKI CHICKEN WITH LEMON AND RICE

INGREDIENTS

– 1 cup brown rice
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1/2 teaspoon corn starch
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 4 teaspoons rice vinegar
– 2 teaspoons lemon juice
– 17 oz chicken breast, boneless, cut into medium pieces
– 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
– 1/4 teaspoon pepper
– 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
– 14 oz broccoli, cut into small bouquets

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Boil the rice according to the packet instructions and steam the pieces of broccoli.

In a sauce pan add the corn starch and soy sauce. Mix well, then add the sugar, rice vinegar and lemon juice. Bring everything to boiling point and let the sauce boil for one minute. Mix continuously to not form lumps.

Season the chicken with salt and pier. In a skillet that can be put into the oven add the oil and fry the chicken for four minutes on each side. Add a tablespoon of soy sauce in the pan and mix well so the chicken is covered with sauce. Then add it in the oven for 8 minutes, or until cooked through.

On a roomy platter, put the rice, broccoli and sliced chicken. Over the chicken pour a tablespoon of soy sauce. Serve the remaining sauce alongside, so who wants more sauce to be able to serve.
