Vertical gardens are a great way to grow plants when the space you have is limited. A real estate developer in Ukraine chose to bring these gardens no more and no less than in an apartment. So appeared the spectacular house with living walls.
Apartment with a river view
The apartment is located in a residential complex in Dnipropetrovsk, the fourth largest city in Ukraine. The architects said they designed the whole house considering the perspective that the Dnipro river is offering.
So it is that the apartment has large windows, from top to bottom, basically opening two sides of the house and getting such a beautiful view of the entire city.
But the main feature of this house are, in fact, the green walls. Svoya Studio developers have designed this apartment as a tribute to the ecosystem. Basically, the walls between the windows are vertical gardens where are growing some real plants, giving the house a special air and charm. For the construction of the gardens, the designers have used wood and concrete, and a special irrigation system.
Contemporary style
The apartment is largely structured on the open-space principle, the kitchen communicating directly with the ultra spacious living room. Despite the large number of windows from where it can be seen easily the bustle of the city, the vertical garden gives warmth and comfort to the place, it’s an oasis of relaxation.
The bedrooms are designed relying on the minimalist decor style, with less furniture, unsophisticated, but also on the contemporary art.
Each room has its own bathroom. Although there aren’t balconies, the tall windows can be opened leaving to the inhabitants the opportunity to admire the perspective given by the height at which it was built the condo.
There was also designed a children’s bedroom, very spacious and simply decorated.
As for the furniture, designers have thought a mix between contemporary pieces and vintage ones, giving this house an absolutely fascinating and sophisticated look.
