Who said that traveling by subway can’t be fascinating and stations can turn into true works of art. Even so, there are several stations in the world which can now successfully apply for the title of the most original subway stop. Here’s how they look.
Subway in Munich, Germany, is perhaps one of the most modern and original in the world. It has dozens of coaches that connect throughout the city.
Opened in 1972, the German subway has a minimalist, but colorful design.
How about a trip literally underground in Stockholm. Swedes literally dug into a rock and they have even painted its walls.
The Russian Komsomolskaya metro station is the most famous in Moscow. Opened in 1952, it has a design inspired by Russian history and its opulence is specific to the country.
Even if it isn’t one of the cleanest or quietest stations worldwide, the City Hall station from New York is one of the great attractions of the American metropolis, from 1945 until now.
