Pavlova cake, perfect for New Year’s Eve meal

Want to prepare a delicious cake to impress your guests on New Year’s Eve? We recommend a simple but very refined cake worthy of a true masterchef. It can be prepared even by amateurs!

Pavlova cake

Ingrediente:

– 6 egg whites
– 11 oz sugar
– 21 oz cream for whipped cream
– 35 oz dulce de leche
– 3-4 bananas
– salt
– 1 vial vanilla essence

Directions:

In a bowl, mix egg whites with a pinch of salt until you get a consistency foam. Add the sugar gradually mixing well until it melts. Finally add a vial of vanilla.

Add half of the meringue composition in a tray lined with baking paper and the rest in another tray of the same size. Bake the meringue for 24 minutes, or until the surface becomes slightly golden. Then let the meringue cool in oven.

Separately, in a bowl beat the cream well until you obtain a dense whipped cream. In another bowl add half of the dulce de leche and mix with half of the whipped cream.

On a platter, put a sheet of meringue and add the whipped cream mixed with dulce de leche. Then sprinkle the bananas and add the rest of the composition of dulce de leche. Put the second piece of meringue and decorate it with whipped cream. Decorate the cake as desired. Store it in the fridge until serving.

Serve the cake cold with a glass of champagne.
