Minimalist house in the middle of a natural park

In Brecon National Park, somewhere in Wales, is located the marvelous minimalist house. It’s a project that bears the signature of Hyde & Hyde, which was made strictly on the basis of the needs and preferences of a family of photographers who wanted a unique house, not very complex, which has a beautiful view and which also do not have much impact on the environment.

As you can see, the house is in a sort of depression, so it is surrounded by herbage. At the base of the decision to design a house in this style, stood a practical consideration: in the area, rainfall is frequent and in large quantities, so all the water that would be collected from the slopes would have reached the walls, which in time could have led to the erosion of the resistance structure. With the chosen solution, water can come around the support structure, but it was already prepared in this regard.

This solution created a new perspective for the owners of the house who have the opportunity to admire the scenery from wherever they are in the house.

Please notice that there are a number of balconies, and a garage … a natural one, created as a result of the actual construction of the house … upstairs.

As for environmental impact, it is minimal. The land is near a road anyway (rarely circulated) so that the road to the intersection has not changed much the scenery. Overall, this home is the kind of a vacation home, but it is also ideal for the periods when you need creativity and peace.
