If you have an old door remained after renovation, do not rush to smash it. You can find it an interesting utility. Here are some good ideas to consider.
COFFEE TABLE
A door, which is about 6 feet, is too big to turn it into a coffee table. But if you cut it in half with an electric saw and mount to it, instead of legs, four wheels with a diameter of 5-6 inches. You quickly obtained a unique piece, not only very useful, but also cheap and decorative at the same time.
HEADBOARD
Natural wood doors are also highly ornamental, so you can use them like false doors. Mount them on a wall as if it leads to nowhere or at the end of the bed, but on a wall colored in a strong shade. By contrast, they will create a very interesting picture.
FRAME FOR A MIRROR
A high mirror in which you can admire yourself from head to toe, is more than useful. In this case, you can use an old door as a frame. It is solid and can successfully support a huge mirror. In addition, it is leaning against the wall without having to be fixed.
WALL ORGANIZER
For your home office you need an organizer. One made of cork is already classic, even banal, so try to build such a piece, even from a wooden door. You can replace sections of it with pieces of wood painted with black paint on which you can note with chalk important things to remember.
BOOKCASE
Well, from an old door you can make even a bookcase. Or, at least, to use it as a support for shelves, but also as a very friendly interface.
KITCHEN TABLE
It might seem like an improvisation that doesn’t worth the effort, but a kitchen table on which to use instead of countertop even a door, will prove a very interesting project with a spectacular result, which you certainly didn’t expect.
HALLSTAND
A hallstand with drawer to install it in the hallway, near the entrance, is a perfect solution for the reuse of an abandoned door.
And if the version with a place for seating seems too complicated, maybe you consider more easy to make the above project, in which a door was turned into a cheerful hanger-picture.
