Easter is cheerful and colorful, much more as it is in spring. Baskets with eggs are one of the most commonly used decoraions for the Holiday table, so here are some useful ideas if you want to make at home these ornaments:
MADE OF FELT
A very funny model of baskets for eggs, either real or plastic, can be made of felt.
You need thick strips of felt, 2-3 centimeters wide, to intertwine them as shown above using a jar as a support.
Since felt is a firm material, you can use scissors to cut some baskets and then sew them by hand. Decorate them with silhouettes specific to this period: bunnies, chickens, eggs and personalize them with the names of the loved ones.
And because felt is a versatile material, you can also make a decorative basket in form of a watering can. It is true that in this case you need more skill and also a sewing machine.
MADE OF SAND BUCKETS
Sand buckets are a good support and with only a few colored applications and a ribbon you can turn them into perfect baskets for the Easter eggs.
If you want to give them a more rustic look, dress them in rope, make also a handle from braided rope, then fill the basket with decorative grass or dry grass and painted eggs.
MADE OF EMPTY JARS
In DIY stores you can find colored pebbles or PVC or polystyrene figures, with which you can fill the jars. Use string instead of ribbon.
MADE OF FLOWER POTS
Glazed ceramic pots, of different colors, can also be transformed fast and easy into baskets. Decorate them with colored paper flowers and with a wide ribbon make a solid handle.
MADE OF EGG CARTONS
Color the egg cartons with a brush, then decorate them with glitter tape or with a ribbon and fill them with straw or decorative grass. This way you quickly obtained an Easter basket.
MADE OF WICKER BASKETS
Wicker baskets are the classic pieces of decoration for Easter. But when you use them simple, they may become commonplace. Dress them up to half with a checkered canvas and you will see that their appearance will radically change.
