How to build a fireplace

Cold days have already arrived, and one of the most beautiful feelings that you can try in this period is the warmth that exudes a cozy fireplace, which remembers you the beautiful moments of childhood and give you the necessary environment for meditation and relaxation . If you do not have a fireplace in the house, here’s how you can make one:

fireplace

1. Materials and positioning

One of the basic rules for building a fireplace is to build a tower block, made of a flammable material, stone or brick, whose interior to keep it empty, the so-called chimney. Also, the fireplace must be positioned so that the building wall passes straight through the middle.

Keep in mind that a part of the fireplace will be built inside, and one part outside the building. To make the chimney, make sure its structure it is taller than the building.

2. Installing the fireplace

After you have built the tower of the fireplace, follow its actual installation. After you have completed this step, check the building’s interior and make sure that the tower is tall enough. After this process, go to the chimney and rise its height, so the smoke to come away from the roof. For extra precaution make the front of the fireplace taller and from stone, especially if the living room floor is made of wood.

3. Final details

What you have done now could function as a fireplace, but with a stone material you must make a bow in front of the fireplace, then put some wood in the center and ignite them. They do not need to burn occasionally, but indefinitely.

If the fire turns off, repeat the process several times until the fireplace completely lights. Also, be mindful that the fireplace needs a special wood, which you can find in commerce. Also, make sure that the fire does not extend outside the fireplace.
