Modern, elegant and very comfortable. It is the dream of every human when it comes to his own house. Here it is a private residence located in one of the suburbs of Lima, in Peru, which successfully combines all these features.
The “House of flowers” was designed by the construction firm Gómez de la Torre & Guerrero Arquitectos, one of the largest in area in Peru. The building bears this name because it is a house full of light and color, surrounded by gardens with many flowers.
The house itself looks almost like a real garden. Situated on three levels that communicate with each other on height through some open spaces, the house is full of multicolored plants.
The house is based on a minimalist concept, glass, the transparencies being among the key features that make it a very friendly place.
The gardens that surround it, create a balanced habitat, according to the purpose in which the home was created: to relax. The spacious rooms, with glass walls, offer perspective to the surroundings. The partial glass ceiling gives the owners the chance to admire at any time of the day or night the clean sky. Everywhere, always blooming plants govern the atmosphere.
Social spaces like the living room, dining room and kitchen are integrated in the outdoor terraces. They also communicate with the large central area from the basement, which also enjoys a lot of floral arrangements.
The retractable roof made from transparent polycarbonate is another essential feature of this construction. Basically, a large part of the house can be transformed into an open terrace with a single button press. A particular advantage of this building is that it was designed to be very cool in summer and very warm in winter, despite the numerous glass walls.
The garden surrounding the house is large and very elegant. Here, all around, there are plenty of exotic plants destined to beautify and bring more style to this piece of heaven. The rooftop terrace also has an additional space for relaxation, equipped with swimming pool and a barbecue.
