Books. They make us happy, they might bring a bit of sadness, they help us enter unimagined worlds and meet unparalleled situations, mystery, action, love and knowledge. Such a beautiful gift we’re all given. Well, if reading is among your favorite pastime activities and your personal collection of books has become quite large, you’ve come to the right place as that’s what today’s pictures are about: home library designs.
Now, when organizing your books, you might simply go for the traditional wall display like you’ll see in most of the pictures below or if space is very much of a problem, you might as well let that creativity of yours roam free and place your books where one would least expect them to be. Like understairs. Or right in your ceiling.
You can even create furniture pieces from the books you’ve gathered. Build a table with them and cover the bundle with a piece of glass. It’s true that access to some of them will be the first to suffer but it is worth using them to save space and money besides enlarging your knowledge.
A few shelves can do the trick too. If there’s a wall that hosts nothing, you can simply order a few shelves, sturdy ones (books are heavy) and dispose them randomly or following a precise design and make them your books’ new home.
Depending on the space you have at disposal and the number of books, you can go for one of the ideas in the pictures below. Great about books is that they bring beauty to both our mind and the place we live in. Scroll down and get inspired!
