It is called exactly as you see in the title – Flexible house – and it’s not hard to understand why. Its facades are crossed by what looks like a ribbon and which prints a particular move to the building and its three levels. The modern structure with dynamic facades, was built on the shores of Zurich Lake in Switzerland, and it is unique in the architectural landscape of the area. Here’s a closer look at this masterpiece of contemporary architecture.
In addition to the three levels, the house has one dedicated for garage, bringing to four the number of floors of its structure. The first and third level of living space include a terrace, the upper one opening superb views all around. The first level harmoniously combines wood, metal, grass and gravel, a real space of transition to the nature outside. The ribbon which traces also the full of personality outline of this house starts from the lower terrace and goes up to the one of the higher plan.
The interiors are lined with glass walls which give the impression that you’re still outside. At the end of the first level, beyond the living room, there is a kitchen with a circular counter, imitating the exterior design. In the living room, the rear walls integrate many storage spaces, so that the entire ground floor to be an open area. A spiral staircase with wooden stairs, surrounded by steel railing painted in white, facilitates the access to the second level.
Upstairs is the master bedroom and guest room. A portion of the floor was left exposed so as to reveal partially the lower level. Both bedrooms and also the bathroom have glass walls, including the shower, a full transparency specific to contemporary houses. On the top floor is a room with a role that remains to fold on any need would the owner have in time. The room offers panoramic views while the terrace is ideal for relaxation at height.
