Stones in the house? You would not believe what amazing scenery you can get using this resource free of charge! You need only imagination and a little skill.
Cactuses
You’re not very able to take care of a plant which is … alive? Then choose the still life. Literally! Create a flower pot with pseudo-cactuses. You need flat and oblong stones, green paint, a brush and a white permanent marker. Fill a pot with pebbles, then paint the stones, and after are dried, punctuate their spines.
Bathmat
From stones you can also make a bathmat or a mat to put it in front of the entrance door. Look for smooth and flat river stones, that does not bother you when you step on them with bare feet. You need clear varnish, a piece of reinforcing mesh and glue. After you varnished the stones, let them dry and then fix them side by side on the piece of hard material using adhesive.
Flower pot
A metallic or a ceramic pot can be beautiful, but at some point could become commonplace. Not if you overlay it with pebbles. Choose small stones, of about the same size and quite flat. You need a dose of adhesive for ceramic tiles, a reinforcing mesh which can be made of metal or rope and paste for joints. First you have to apply the adhesive, then fix the reinforcing mesh place. Then, apply adhesive on small portions and fix the mosaic of pebbles. When the adhesive has dried, prepare the paste for joints and, using a spatula, fill the spaces between the stones.
Photo frame
You can also decorate a simple photo frame with pebbles of different colors. It is important to use a strong glue to withstand the weight of the stones.
Decors with lace
You can try your skills in terms of crochet and with the obtained pieces to dress stones of various sizes. If you don’t know to crochet, use some old doilies. You will get some very interesting decorations.
