Not sure what dessert to cook for Christmas? Try a great recipe of banana and cranberry dry cake. It is simple and quickly to prepare and will be appreciated by the whole family.
Ingredients
– 500g sugar
– 200g butter
– 3 eggs
– 3 bananas
– 200g cranberry sauce
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– skin of two oranges
– 500g flour
– 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
– 1/2 cup of walnuts, chopped
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Grease a tray for dry cake with butter and coat it with flour.
In a capacious bowl add butter and sugar and mix everything well until you get a homogeneous and foamy cream. Add the eggs, one at a time, bananas, cranberry sauce, milk, vanilla and salt and orange peel.
In another bowl add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg and mix well. Add the mixture slowly in the composition previously prepared. Pour the prepared cake in the tray and bake for 50-60 minutes at medium heat.
To ensure that it is baked, insert a toothpick in it. If the toothpick comes out clean, it means the cake is baked. However, if the toothpick has traces of coca, let the cake in the oven for five minutes, then repeat the toothpick test.

The Christmas cake with bananas and cranberries can be eaten after it has cooled completely. Sprinkle powdered sugar over it, then slice it. You can serve it along with a cup of mulled wine.
