CHICKEN BREAST GLAZED WITH HONEY, MUSTARD AND ORANGE

Want to prepare a delicious recipe for dinner, but quickly to make at the same time? Try a recipe of chicken breast glazed with honey, mustard and orange juice. It is ready in just 30 minutes and is ideal for a romantic dinner for two or for a family dinner.

CHICKEN BREAST GLAZED WITH HONEY, MUSTARD AND ORANGE

INGREDIENTS

– 2 pieces of boned chicken breast
– salt
– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
– 2 tablespoons orange zest
– 4 fl oz fresh orange juice
– 1 small white onion, finely chopped
– 3 tablespoons honey
– 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
– 2 tablespoons simple mustard
– 1 oz butter (cut into 4 pieces)

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Wash well the chicken and cut each piece into two pieces. Season it with salt and pepper and lay it on a tray.

In a pot for sauces add the onion, orange peel, orange juice, honey and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix well and bring it to the boil, then low the heat and let the sauce simmer for 3 minutes. Then remove the pot and add the simple mustard and the Dijon mustard.

Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake it for 30 minutes or until chicken is well done.

Put the chicken on a platter, leaving the sauce in the pan. Add a piece of butter in the sauce and mix well until is melted and it incorporates into the composition. Continue with the remaining butter, then pour the sauce over the chicken.

Serve the chicken glazed with honey, mustard and oranges with a side dish of simple rice and a glass of white wine.
