The home of a good boy
Besides the extraordinary landscape and interior finishes, Gyllenhaal’s house does not betray the fact that a star lives in this house. A tasteful decor enriched with retro accents of some accessories, make the Hollywood star’s home an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Beverly Hills.
Spacious yard
The yard and the garden are designed so as to provide as much space to admire the hills near Los Angeles. Only a small table and two chairs are placed on the perfect grass in the shade of some old trees, leaving the extraordinary panorama to unfold in front of the viewer. A small swimming pool is set in an intimate corner of the courtyard with a relaxation room nearby.
Classical elegance
Far from playing the Hollywood playboy role in his private life, Gyllenhaal has decorated his home in Beverly Hills in a style that shines through the taste for classic refinement and simple way of life of the actor. The kitchen seems to be a focal point in the actor’s home, the yellow ceramic and blue-gray tint on the furniture are giving the room a retro look.
Nothing extravagant in the other rooms either, two living rooms revealing Gyllenhaal’s image of a house boy and his love for reading. Even so, the note of elegance is given by the ceiling beams in the living room and the large windows that allow to see the breathtaking views.
A withdrawn star
The fact that Jake Gyllenhaal uses his home as a refuge from the hectic life in the City of Film is highlighted also by the lack of an oversized living room, the actor preferring a dining room in a secluded corner in the kitchen extension.
Also the terrace, which speculates the charm of the area where the house is located, does not imply that Gyllenhaal would receive many visitors. Four chairs placed in a relaxation corner and the lack of a grill or a larger table shows that Jake is limited to only receive visits from some close friends.
