How can you make your living room look more luxurious

A house like in the movies. Everyone wants that, but often you are forced to decorate your rooms according to the limited budget that you have. At least try to make the living room look more luxurious. There are a few simple and handy tricks that will not cost much.

Simplify the style

A crowded space with lots of parts and accessories may seem rather disorganized than chic. In order to transform the living room into a sophisticated place, give up all unnecessary items and keep only the parts that have sentimental value. A simplified space will allow them to shine individually.

SIMPLIFY THE STYLE

Camouflage the TV

If there is any item that will pull down the luxurious look of a room, that is the TV. Minimize visually its presence by creating around it a true picture gallery. In this way it will confuse practically among other framed pieces, so it will be much less noticeable.

CAMOUFLAGE THE TV

Use interesting fabrics

Customize the living room using retro textiles. And here we refer not to obsolete materials, but especially to fabrics that will bestow a vintage air to the room, and upholstered sofas and curtains made of brocade.

USE INTERESTING FABRICS

Insert a piece with an unique shape

Try to avoid that all the furniture in this room to be linear. Even if it gives you the impression of a certain order and logic, it becomes boring, dull and seems unimaginative. Therefore, you should insert an element to break the monotony. Such as a table resting on a tree trunk, for example.

INSERT A PIECE WITH AN UNIQUE SHAPE

Choose oversized art pieces

Create a focal point in the room by hanging an oversized painting on a wall. Any large piece of art will make the room look more spacious and stylish. You can keep an eye on offers to buy the picture that you like when it’s on sale with a lower price or even you can create your own piece of art.

CHOOSE OVERSIZED ART PIECES

Mix textures

A careful blend of materials and textures give the impression of a well thought out living room, like it was custom made with an interior designer.
