They bought it with 3.5 million dollars, and now they want to sell it at a nearly double price. The business belongs to Angelina and Brad Pitt, and it is about the New Orleans house, where the couple spent much of the past 10 years.
The American actors have moved with their children in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the American city in 2005. Shortly after the move, Brad Pitt founded the foundation “Make It Right” in order to help families left homeless by catastrophic floods that hit this city in the US state of Louisiana. The Foundation has contributed to the construction of 150 houses, and all the houses were built by organic techniques and they are insulated.
At the time, the couple purchased a $ 3.5 million mansion in the French Quarter, the historic heart of New Orleans. After a decade of living in Los Angeles, where it’s the couple’s basic residence, at Miraval Castle in South of France, and in New Orleans, the couple decided it was time to sell the latter one.
No journalist has penetrated so far into the privacy of the actors’ home, but we know how it looks mainly due to real estate agents hired by the famous couple to sell the house and a collage of images presented by American publications when the couple bought the house.
The property covers 700 square meters, and the villa, built on two floors, has six bedrooms, one of which, located in a separate wing, was specially reserved for guests, and three bathrooms. The building was built in 1830, it is situated to the street, and the building has high rooms with Venetian-style finish, with plenty of marble, elegant chandeliers, a spiral staircase and a kitchen ultra equipped.
According to the offer for sale, the property has two parking spaces with direct access from the street, a laundry and a small pool in the backyard.
Angelina and Brad have not yet announced whether they want to buy another property in New Orleans or will leave the city forever.
