You like Chinese food, but you find it difficult to prepare? Here is a simple recipe that you can prepare at home in maximum 30 minutes.
INGREDIENTS
– 17 oz sirloin, cut small pieces (slices or cubes as desired)
– 14 oz broccoli
– 2 and half tablespoons olive oil
– 2 inch root ginger, peeled and sliced thin
For the marinade:
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
– 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
– white pepper, to taste
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the sauce:
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
– 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon sugar
– 2 tablespoons cornstarch
– 8 tablespoons water
DIRECTIONS
In a capacious bowl add all the ingredients for the marinade and mix well. Then add the pieces of beef and let them marinate at least 15 minutes. It would be ideal to keep them in the marinade for two hours.
Meanwhile boil a pot of water. When it starts to boil add the broccoli florets and let them boil for 10-15 seconds, then remove them and let them drain the excess water well.
In a wok or a large frying pan, heat up a spoonful of olive oil. Add the pieces of meat and cook them until they are almost done (inside is still pink), then take them on a plate.
Add the remaining olive oil in the pan and leave it to heat up. Add the ginger and cook it until its flavor begins to come out of it and then add the beef again. Cook it until it is completely penetrated.
Meanwhile, in a bowl mix all sauce ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous composition.
When meat is completely cooked, add broccoli florets and add the sauce ingredients. Mix well and leave everything to boil. When the sauce begins to thicken, turn off the cooker.
Notice! The soy sauce is salty, so there is no need to add salt to food.
Serve the food immediately, with a side dish of simple rice. You can serve with a semi-dry white wine.
