You want to prepare a light dessert, to enjoy it in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea? Try the banana cake with chocolate chips. The little ones will love it and you will be able to indulge yourself freely.
INGREDIENTS
– 1 cup flour
– 1 sachet baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 cup butter at room temperature
– 3/4 cup sugar
– 1 egg
– 1/3 cup mashed banana
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
– 1/3 cup buttermilk
– 1/3 cup chocolate chips
– caramel topping (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 20x20cm pan with butter or line it with baking paper.
In a small bowl, add the flour, salt, baking powder and mix well.
In a mixer bowl add the butter and mix well on maximum speed, until it becomes frothy. Add the sugar gradually until it incorporates very well. Then add the egg, vanilla and mashed bananas. When you have a homogeneous composition, incorporate the flour.
Finally add the buttermilk and chocolate chips. Mix with a spatula, to not let the air go outside.
Add the composition obtained in the pan and bake it for 25-30 minutes. Leave it to cool in the pan, then remove the cake on a plate and cut it into cubes. Garnish each cube with caramel topping.
