You want to prepare a quick and delicious dessert that will not keep you too long in the kitchen? Try a quick recipe for brownie with almond flour. The dough is ready in five minutes, then you can leave the cake in the oven while you do other chores or watch a movie.
INGREDIENTS
– 3/4 cup almond flour
– 2/3 cup agave nectar
– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
– 2 eggs
– 5 tablespoons cocoa
– 1/4 cup coconut oil
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
– zest of one lemon
– a pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl, add the almond flour, agave nectar, chopped nuts, eggs, cocoa, coconut oil, vanilla extract, lemon zest and salt. Mix everything well.
Add the mixture into a tray lined with baking paper and bake the cake for 30 minutes.
To see if it is cooked, insert a toothpick in it. If the toothpick comes out clean, it means the cake is baked. But if you notice traces of dough on the toothpick, it means that it has to bake more. Leave it in the oven for 5 minutes then repeat the toothpick test.
Let the brownie cool before cutting it.
Serve the brownies alone or with a scoop of ice cream and some fresh strawberries or berries.
