A couple from Philadelphia turned an abandoned church into a modern home, decorated in Moroccan style. Let’s take a look at this amazing transformation:
BEFORE: View from the balcony
The church was abandoned for about 40 years, with a large hole in the roof where rain water infiltrated, destroying the walls. It was proposed for demolition, but it was bought by a builder and converted into residential space.
The owners did not get possession of the entire building, but only a part, namely the former Sunday School. However, the area isn’t small, with about 278 square meters, divided in 3 floors, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a half and a garage for three cars.
The structure has been completely removed, while keeping some elements: stone facade, stained glass windows from the Sunday School above the front door and window frames from the two floors.
