8 things that any small house needs

How it would be like if you could turn the kitchen into living room and dining room at the same time? When you have little space, every great idea is worth taking into account.

Multifunctional furniture

An ottoman which can be also a place to relax, and a coffee table or an old suitcase in which to hide all kinds of trinkets, but to use it also as a central table are just two ideas of multifunctional furniture.

Multifunctional furniture

Board with hooks and magnetic support

In a small kitchen you will always have a problem with storing dishes and utensils for cooking. Not if on a free wall you mount a perforated plate and hooks on it to hang pans or pots, and a magnetic tape to keep your knives at hand.

Storage boxes

In a small house, where all seem cramped, organization is essential. You need covered baskets and boxes, but be sure to label them all, so you can find things in an easier way.

Narrow table

When you have a small house, everything must be reduced to scale. Therefore, you surely can’t afford to have a table for 12 people, but a narrow table, which to keep it near a wall, you will notice as being the ideal solution in your case.

Color

The color of the walls is the one that can create spaciousness in a room. Light colors such as blue in the above image, illuminates the room. Fill them with slightly darker tone furniture so the room appears a whole, while giving style and elegance.

Transparency

Another suggestion is to use furniture made of transparent polycarbonate such as a central table and some Phantom chairs. They do not obscure the visual space, do not load it, so the room seems more airy and more orderly.

Transparency

Intelligent configuration

If you use the living room also as dning area and office, then configuring the space is extremely important. Put the office near the window to benefit from natural light and use every corner as efficiently as possible. For example, put the wardrobe near the window wall to not entangle traffic through the room.

Comfort

When you want to feel good in your home you have the right to break any rules.
The grandmother’s big rocking chair is special and do not want to give it up? Keep it! So what if it fills up the space! If you feel more relaxed so, then it makes no sense to respect the theory.

Comfort
