Christmas is almost here and you do not have decorated the house yet? Quickly improvise a few ornaments that will give charm and brilliance to the house. Here are some examples:
Garlands made of paper
Golden paper, a ball of thread and scissors. This is all you need to create some sparkling garlands. Cut triangles from sheets of paper, then stick three successive on the thread, as in the picture above. You get some perfect garlands to decorate a wall.
Minimalist “Christmas tree”
If you have not yet bought a Christmas tree, but do not have the money to get one now, choose a minimalist one. Specifically, place a leafless twig in a bowl with sand or soil and adorn it with baubles and tinsel. It’s true that you will not get any green tree, nor its scent, but you’ll quickly feel the air of Holiday.
Golden garland
Evergreen leaves are a perfect alternative to fir tree. You can use them simply to create a garland to put it on the fireplace or on a stair railing. With a golden or silver spray paint you can quickly turn it into a sophisticated ornament, which will give an extra glam to the house.
Snowmen made of socks
From a pair of white socks you can make in a few minutes two extremely funny snowmen, with which you can decorate any blank space. Cut the sock as shown above. Then fill it with a cloth or wool or whatever you have at hand. With a thread of wool, tighten the sock so as to get three “snowballs” for the snowman’s body. Decorate it with buttons, then with the rest of the sock, make a hat.
Wreath made of materials
Roll a towel, then give it the shape of a wreath and sew it. Cut strips of old clothes, of different colors and wrap them in towel roll. Catch them inside with stickpins or sew the pieces of fabric.
Family tree
You surely have a photo album. If they are black and white or sepia, it is better. Glue them on a cardboard sheet, then cut them into round shapes, like globes. Put them on the wall as a Christmas tree.
Paper baubles
Cut strips of paper of different sizes and place them as shown above, then staple them. You get in a few minutes a lot of colored baubles.
