The ornaments you find in stores are good, but they don’t have that personal touch that individualizes them, as happens when you make your decorations for home. With a little patience and skill you can realize very interesting and colorful ornaments.
Here are some decorations with which you can not only decorate the Christmas tree, but the whole house:
Bauble made of gold buttons
In stores you will find polystyrene baubles that seem to hardly expect to be decorated in so many ways. A simple and very interesting way is to stick buttons on them. Guaranteed that if you look through your mother’s boxes of buttons, you will find a lot of pieces recovered from old sweaters or blouses. You can choose either very colorful buttons or only the golden ones. Using a glue gun is enough to catch them on the surface of the globe and so you have gained a unique decorations.
Baubles with colored powder
With transparent baubles you can do a lot of interesting things. For example, you can fill them with colored powder, special for decorations. You can find it in DIY stores. You can create such baubles of all colors.
Baubles with candies
The same baubles made of glass or translucent plastic can be filled with small and colorful candies that will transform the bauble into a perfect ornament for winter holidays period.
Glitter baubles
You can quickly give a touch of glam to any type of bauble. You need sticky colorless solution and glitter. You can trace different outlines on the bauble with a brush dipped in glue and then sprinkle over it the glitter of different colors.
Star made of a carpentry ruler
This great star was made from an old carpentry ruler. You just have to have a look through the grandfather’s toolbox and you will find at least one. First, make sure that he no longer uses it, then you can give it another use. Paint it, fix it in the form of a five-pointed star and wrap a garland of light on it.
Winter picture
An old picture frame can become the perfect support for photos from past winter holidays. Fix in the back some nails and catch a thin rope or lace. Then with small hooks, which you find in bookstores, hang the photos. You get a complex picture that will sum up old memories.
