Paper is an incredibly beautiful and versatile material and very easy to work with it. Try to build your own paper decorations for your home. Here are some models simple to make:
1. CURTAIN MADE OF PAPER LACE
You can make an interesting curtain for the kitchen window using decor papers for cake trays. They are already nice cut around the edges, all you have to do is to continue the decoupage inside the paper. If you want to color them to have an aspect of old paper, prepare a cup of strong tea, pour it into a slightly high pan and sink the papers to get wet, then remove them carefully and place them on a towel to absorb liquid. When dried, place them on a table in the desired shape and catch them together with string. You can also use fine glue for paper.
2. 3D HEART MADE OF PAPER
You can create three-dimensional decorations using paper. Look at this multicolored heart. Use colored paper and glossy pages of old magazines.
Create a template in form of heart, then cut out as many as you want and sew them together using a sewing machine. Leave at one end a few centimeters of thread in order to hang the 3D heart.
3. BUTTERFLY PICTURE
Children can help in making this unique picture. Tell them to color sheets of paper, then draw the outline of butterflies and cut them out. Then stick them in a frame. For a 3D effect, stick just one of the wings.
4. MUSICAL GARLAND
You need some old scores. Using a circle template with a diameter of 3-4 centimeters – you can use a glass – cut out pieces from the score. Sew on their diameter each for four pieces together, then catch them together as a garland. You can decorate with them a blank white wall.
5. LACED ENVELOPES
Wouldn’t be nice to gift an invitation to an event or tickets to a concert in a unique envelope? Here’s how you can make this laced envelope. You need decor papers for cake trays. Put the card or ticket in the middle of the paper, then pick the sides uniting them towards the center. Stick them with a little glue and you get a unique envelope.
