A house decorated with natural materials such as wood and stone can become charming right under your eyes. You’ll feel more excited of the slightly rustic appearance of your home, if some arrangements you will do yourself, using natural stone. Here are some examples easy to put into practice:
Rustic kitchen
Do not hesitate to build a worktable made of stone in the kitchen of your house if space permits. Build a socle decorated with river stones and put above it a countertop made of wood. The rustic image that this piece will transmit, will give the room an air of genuine kitchen.
Stone mats
Give your house a unique air from the entrance, placing a stone carpet. You can easily make it using river stones of equal size, by sticking them to a banal rug with a strong adhesive.
This decorative object is very pleasing to the eye, and you can even use it in bathrooms or on the balcony or terrace. Not to mention that the hardness of the river stones feels very pleasant under foot.
Petrified hallstands
As well, river stones can turn into real hallstands that you can put in the bathroom or kitchen. All you have to do is stick on their back one screw, then screw into the wall or into a wall-mounted wooden stand.
Stone flower pots
You want every corner of the house to have one natural element? You do not have to perform complicated refurbishments to the rooms in the house. It’s enough just to stick on the outside of the flower pots small river stones that give a new image to these vases with flowers.
Shower like in nature
Including your bathroom can get a totally natural look. Instead of tiles placed next to the shower, it is enough to put medium-sized river stones. The appearance of this original design will be much improved if you put over the stones a wood platform on which to sit comfortably when you go under the douche.
