5 decors for a Zen house

Stress, anxiety, overwork. These are the ingredients of a normal working day, so when we get home, we want to feel like in a sanctuary: calm, balanced, reconciled, rested. There are several solutions for decorating the house that will help you get from your home exactly those things that you feel you need. Here they are:

Zen house

1. Mirror

Responsible with spreading positive energy (chi), the mirror should be placed with care, so as to not “chase” the chi outside the room. Thus, it will be positioned to a dark hallway or a small space, to give the feeling of magnification.

2. Paintings

They are made for contemplation, relaxation, to be admired in silence. Therefore, beware of their proportions – a picture that is too large will give the feeling of pressure – and place them at the right height so you can watch them without effort.

3. Bells

In Chinese houses you will surely find them. It’s good to know that are associated with a ringer for example, which should have a similar sound, not a strident one. You can place a few bells at the entrance or the entrance on the balcony, to make energy circulate more easily, explains Sioux Berger, an expert in the philosophy of Zen.

4. Plants

It may seem strange, but the shape of the leaf is essential. Plants with round shapes are responsible for spreading positive energy, while plants with sharp leafs, properly placed, will revive the chi energies. Put them in corners, and the ones with round leafs in areas where you have furniture with sharp edges.

5. Colors

Pastel tones calm, relax, warm tones wake and the cold ones give us energy. Therefore, choose the color of the decor and furniture depending on the destination of the room. Also, you can play with the light offered by colored light bulbs to get the desired effect.
