5 creative bookcases for book lovers

If you like books and you browse them with pleasure at home or you constantly enrich your collection, then you need a customized library. And how massive libraries were outdated in the era of minimalism and creativity, here are five creative solutions that definitely works great in any home:

1. Piano-bookcase

A great idea for artistic characters. Such a library can be made even from an old piano, which can not be used anymore. You can find it at antique shops, bargain fairs or on websites. You only have to take the cover down, to manufacture several shelves for your needs, and to repaint it. But pay attention to the paint used – based on water or oil, so that it will resist as much as possible.

2. Tree-bookcase

It is a piece that fits perfectly into the natural scenery, with many textiles and apparently unfinished materials, and also in the children’s room. You can find it ready-made or you can shape your own tree after your needs and desires. You can find the necessary wood in DIY stores, where expert staff can also cut it. Do not forget to buy a wood varnish, even if you want to keep the natural look of the feedstock. In this way, your library will retain a vivid look a longer time.

3. Picture-bookcase

If you opt for a classic, romantic decor, vintage-inspired, such a library will finalize with style the living-room. The impression of oversized picture is spectacular when you place near it an armchair with a precious textile print in a hard color to complete the picture. Opt for a “frame” with rounded shapes, painted in golden, almost mat and you will get a spectacular effect.

4. Bookcase made of small boxes

A simple and convenient solution for a minimalist, modern decor. Also, for rustic interiors, you can even use wooden boxes. You can find them ready-made at home & deco shops. Also, in child’s room, you can paint them in bright colors.

5. Ladder-bookcase

You can successfully use the space under the staircase for arranging such a library. It’s simple, practical and, in addition, it is an aesthetic plus to the house.
