5 BENEFITS OF A GREEN ROOF

Green roofs not only give a very eco aspect to the house, they are also very useful for purifying the air and even for reducing energy consumption. Here are the main advantages of green roofs:

1. IT HAS PUBLIC BENEFITS

Green roofs increase the number of green spaces in cities and also improve the quality of urban image. Are ideal in terms of aesthetics, and a place where houses have green roofs will be a healthy environment for those living there. In addition, a green roof provides the necessary conditions for birds and insects to work in harmony with nature.

2. IT IS INSULATING

The green roof reduces the energy consumption for heating by 25%, by increasing the coefficient of thermal insulation. In addition, it is well known that a conventional roof absorbs solar heat during the day and then radiates throughout the night.

Instead, a green roof will capture water in the vegetation layer, the water will evaporate gradually throughout the day, resulting in cooling the roof.

3. CLEARS THE AIR

A green roof will help purify the air and reduce pollution, which we all know is one of the main problems of this century. This little garden will turn carbon dioxide into oxygen and the air we breathe when you’ll open the window will be much cleaner.

4. PROTECTS THE HOUSE

The green roof provides the full comfort a home needs: protects against wind and bad weather, because the amount of water resulting from rainfall is partly absorbed by soil used to create the main layer. Surplus water will be removed through a special drainage system.

5. IT IS SOUNDPROOF

If you live in a crowded city, full of agitation and stressful noises, a green roof will get rid of the problem of noise, because it is a very good sound insulator.
